- I had this problem too until I changed my firmware to the V34+ (33.6k)
- code. Its available for US and Interntnl modems at USR's ftp site
- (ftp.usr.com)
- in directory dl105. With the latest release of the 28.8k code I was getting
- typically 70 - 100 blers in the space of a few minutes. With the V34+ code
- it's always less than ten (typically 6 or 7) irrespective of connect time,
- what I do or where I go on line. However, even when I was getting lots of
- blers, I can't say I ever noticed any real slow down in speed.
