  19. I had this problem too until I changed my firmware to the V34+ (33.6k)
  20. code. Its available for US and Interntnl modems at USR's ftp site
  21. (ftp.usr.com) 
  22. in directory dl105. With the latest release of the 28.8k code I was getting
  23. typically 70 - 100 blers in the space of a few minutes. With the V34+ code
  24. it's always less than ten (typically 6 or 7) irrespective of connect time,
  25. what I do or where I go on line. However, even when I was getting lots of
  26. blers, I can't say I ever noticed any real slow down in speed.
